Year 2023/24

Es nostro cel proposal to NameExoWorlds 2022 officially named a stellar system after the folktale Na Filet d’Or. At the same time, we showed our culture to the world, inmortalizing it in the night sky. Now, continuing the legacy, we want to outreach Astronomy from a cultural point of view.

We announced our activities at Naukas thanks to Enric Culat (UDCC-UIB) invitation. Enric wanted a picture of Filetdor & Catalineta but Sebastià had to explain it was an Herculean taks. In any case, the «dimonis» visited us that day at Palau de Congressos de Palma. Maybe it was a hunch.

We invited all high schools to collaborate with our team. Then, each group of students made a new proposal that can be used in the next NameExoWorlds contest. For that purpose, we made several lectures and a mentoring program:

This adventure was completed the 10th of May in Santanyí. We celebrated the sidereal naming anniversary of Catalineta & Filet d’Or with the following activities:

The 2nd Edition of Es nostro cel contest.
The Space Storytellers.
The simultaneous observation.
