Patronal feastdays
The Es nostro cel team members know very well how to take profit to our vacations. We made more outreach activities! Joining our friends from Amics de la Institució Pública Antoni M. Alcover, we organized interdisciplinary performances at the patronal feastdays in Manacor, and also in Santanyí.
The 17th of july we met at Pati de la Torre in Manacor. Once there, Magdalena Gelabert explained how valous and significant is the fact to find our folktales written in the night sky. Sebastià Barceló Forteza remembered all outreach activities we standed for to achieve Filetdor as a star, and Catalineta as exoplanet. He also invited the audience to the next night observation in Santanyí. To finish, Lídia Pérez narrated the folktale Na Filet d’Or.
The 26th of july we met at sa Torre Nova in Cala Santanyí. There, we acknowledged all the support from Ajuntament de Santanyí. In fact, their support was key from the beggining at the Teatre Principal contest. The major of the town, Maria Pons, the deputy mayor Joan Gaspar Aguiló, and culture councillor, Ricarda Vicens, joined us and said a few beautiful words about our project.
Once Lidia Pérez had told the folktale & Sebastià had explained the milestone to the audience, we turned out all the street lights. Thanks to Club Newton telescopes and team we enjoyed a splendid night. Pep Marcús and his stellar stories captivated all santanyiners. We will repeat it!
