Popular vote (2024)
The audience awarded the popular vote to «SinCity» team (IES Joan Alcover). The aim of this proposal is name the HR858 system after the local imps, perfectly fitting with the philosophy of the contest. Now we will explain why:
The floor was for Rosa during the defense. She touched our souls with her fervent defense. First of all, she showed us a perfectly made model of the system where the imp-planets were dancing around Fogueró star.
This proposal represents our popular festivities and traditions, connecting our land with outer space. As an example, Rosa told us how the sparkles of the fire-running reminds her to the falling stars typically seen during the festival season: the Perseids.
In that way, sending the imps to the starry night, we are leaving a mark to:
- Remind the new generations their own customs
- Find each town and village represented with its own traditional imp, all feeling part of a whole.
- Make our festivities internationally known only by our cultural wealth.
