We did it!!! Es nostro cel project was born with a first aim: to include the culture of the Balearic Islands to the official names of the night sky. For that reason, we participated to the contest NameExoWorlds 2022 organized by the International Astronomical Union (IAU). This contest consists on naming the components of one of the 20 proposed stellar systems taking into account our own cultural heritage. One of these systems was WASP-166, now named after the Majorcan folktale Na Filet d’Or.

To achieve this milestone, we built a huge team to submit an overwhelming proposal, with a strong cultural background, created and defended by high school students. You can appreciate all the support we received from:

• The society,
• The public administration,
• The mass media.

The success of the proposals also depended of the number and quality of outreach activities we wanted to develop. We organized a lot of them, especially:

• The contest at Teatre Principal de Santanyí,
• Support event from UIB at Fundació Sa Nostra.

In addition, we also arranged:

• Craft workshops,
• Lessons for (not only) students ,
• Observing with astronomical associations.

Finally, we won the contest: we named the componentes of WASP-166 system, including those not discovered yet! We did in competition with other 600 proposals from 91 countries. We celebrated it in style at:

• #RondallesAlCel in ParcBit,
• Graduation party in CC Bisbe Verger,
• Patronal feastdays in Manacor and Santanyí.

Now we can exclaim: Welcome Filetdor & Catalineta!
